The H. L. Miller Cantorial School and College of Jewish Music of The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) will host a holiday concert titled "We Are Lights: Music for Chanukah" on Thursday, December 6, at 6:00 p.m. The concert will be held at JTS, 3080 Broadway (at 122nd Street), in New York City. The H. L. Miller Cantorial School Chorus will perform the New York premiere of Eight Days of Chanukah by Abraham Kaplan, renowned composer, conductor, and music educator. Hazzan David F. Tilman will conduct and Elizabeth Rodgers will be the accompanist. During the concert, there will be a celebration of miracles and freedom as performers and participants commemorate the 25th anniversary of the historic 1987 Freedom Sunday for Soviet Jews march on Washington DC.
